International Union Bank was founded in Panama, with the purpose of coordinating syndicated loan operations that required significant volumes of capital that at the time could not be covered by the region's banks individually.
It consisted of raising capital for the development and construction of a commercial project that by then was one of the most modern office buildings in Latin America.
IUBank decided to start retail operations, for which it began a process of adaptation of its general infrastructure in order to offer its clients a range of traditional banking services with the confidence and solidity offered by the institution's track record.
In the last decade we have incorporated systems and licenses that have been modernizing and improving our management capacity (such as the installation of SWIFT and VISA cardholders). This modernization is continually being maintained and is aimed at offering more and better integrated financial solutions to our clients in the future. OCIF grants in November to IUBANK LLC authorization for the constitution of the EFI. Receiving permission to operate in July 2017.
Operations migrated to Puerto Rico, USA to International Union Bank, LLC.
